Introducing the official iPad app from The Indiana Roof Ballroom. This app allows you to explore the Ballroom’s historic facility like never before! Affectionately called the “Roof,” we have been an important part of downtown Indianapolis for nearly a century. We have hosted many famous performers, weddings, galas and receptions, while creating the breath-taking illusion of twilight in an old-world villa.
Now, using your iPad, you can take a tour and see the true grandeur of this elite establishment right in the palm of your hands!
How it works:
Swipe right to left to flip through sections.
Tap or pinch zoom into each section to read more about The Indiana Roof Ballroom’s world-class facility. (Each section includes information about the ballroom from an in-depth history portion to a planning guide for your event.)
Swipe the photo galleries to browse over 60 pictures of the ballroom.
Tap once to open the menu bar to access a button linking you directly to their web site.

The Indiana Roof Ballroom replicates a quaint, European Village and offers many unique features.
Here are some items we offer to enhance the look of your event:
1. 3 crystal chandeliers that can be hung from a truss in the center of the ballroom
2. We now offer a white, pintuck loveseat couch for the bride & groom to sit on at the end of the head table (No charge)
3. Floral arrangements are an important aspect of wedding receptions, and McNamara Florist creates amazing designs (shown below)
4. Banquet-style seating is available, as well as our traditional round 5ft. tables. The banquet-style tables can be rented from A Classic Party Rental.
5. The stage can have an eye-catching look with draping hung from top to bottom
6. Here is an example of the lighting that can be done (Markey's Rental & Staging). This is an outdoor, garden-inspired look, perfect for any color scheme you choose.
7. New linens are available from A Classic Party Rental, pending availablility: A blush overlay (shown on the head table below) & a champagne sequin linen (shown on the cake table below)
Tell us what you think of these features & how you would utilize them for your event!
We had the opportunity to be part of this surprise proposal at The Roof!
Congratulations to Danielle & Joey! Their amazing photos were captured by Nathaniel Edmunds Photography. We're looking forward to their beautiful wedding next November!
Engagement photoshoots can be difficult to plan (location, attire, etc.). Danielle was lucky enough to have hers done during the proposal!
Are you trying to plan your engagement shoot? Here are a few tips:
1.Attire – You don’t have to coordinate your outfits with each other. Whether you prefer a casual or formal look, try to choose solid colors. These tend to photograph better than plaids or florals, for example. Also, try to avoid flashy jewelry, as it will distract from the focus of the photo. (The exception is your engagement ring, of course!)
2.Location – Do you envision your photos inside or outside, or both? Do you want to include a specific location that is special to you two? Think about this and talk it over with your fiancé.
3.Photographer – Spend time researching photographers in your area. Ask friends/family for suggestions and take a look at the quality of the photos each photographer produces. We love the quality of the shots in this shoot!
