We had the opportunity to be part of this surprise proposal at The Roof!
Congratulations to Danielle & Joey! Their amazing photos were captured by Nathaniel Edmunds Photography. We're looking forward to their beautiful wedding next November!
Engagement photoshoots can be difficult to plan (location, attire, etc.). Danielle was lucky enough to have hers done during the proposal!
Are you trying to plan your engagement shoot? Here are a few tips:
1.Attire – You don’t have to coordinate your outfits with each other. Whether you prefer a casual or formal look, try to choose solid colors. These tend to photograph better than plaids or florals, for example. Also, try to avoid flashy jewelry, as it will distract from the focus of the photo. (The exception is your engagement ring, of course!)
2.Location – Do you envision your photos inside or outside, or both? Do you want to include a specific location that is special to you two? Think about this and talk it over with your fiancé.
3.Photographer – Spend time researching photographers in your area. Ask friends/family for suggestions and take a look at the quality of the photos each photographer produces. We love the quality of the shots in this shoot!

The 500 Festival hosted the annual Snake Pit Ball at the Indiana Roof Ballroom Saturday May 23rd. The 500 Festival is responsible for around 50 annual events and programs during the month of May including the 500 Parade and the 500 Mini-Marathon.
This year's theme for the Snake Pit Ball was "Copperhead Lounge" which was styled with a dazzling large chandelier with color changing lights and a spinning glitter race car in the middle. Glamorous white tables and chairs were provided as well as leather couches for the attendees comfort.
Guests walked the Checkered Red Carpet and were greeted with a Cucumber-infused signature drink and the music of DJ Gabby Love. A few notable names in attendance of this year's KeyBank 500 Festival Snake Pit Ball included Pat McAfee, Andrew Luck, Robert Mathis, and Dwayne Allen.
Attendees enjoyed a concert from the platinum selling rock band American Authors. The popular A-Capella group Straight No Chaser and famous cover band 45 Riots also performed at the event.
Throughout the evening, guests indulged on a wide variety of Hors D'eouvres, food stations, and desserts. Delectable items such as hand-rolled Sushi, Korean Bar-B-Q Boneless Short Ribs, Orange Ginger Glazed Chicken and Chili Garlic Shrimp, Brownie Pops, and Cinnamon and Caramel Churros kept guests satisfied!
Celebrity bartender Josh Gonzales, the owner of Thunderbird, was on the scene making some of his signature cocktails at the main bar in the center of the room.
The Indiana Roof Ballroom was thrilled to be part of such a marvelous event and it was an impeccable way for attendees to unwind before the 500 race on Sunday. Contact us at (http://www.indianaroof.com/contact-us) for more information on hosting your own memorable event!
